Very Good Compact Waterproof HD Camera
It takes little getting used to get the right modes and how to trigger a Video or Photo, but the results are amazing. The Camera is very compact and the quality is very good, including the quality of the head mount harness and the other mounts. The Helmet position is generally high so I have ordered a Chest Mount harness as well. I have taken shots riding my Hayabusa (Suzuki 1340 CC Motorcycle) with the camera mounted on top of my helmet, the Shots are just amazing, No vibration what so ever (believe me I have spent nearly 500 bucks before on various mounts to shoot with my HD camcorder and it was all very shaky).

I have also taken underwater shots in swimming pool of my son swimming and the waterproofing works great and the shots are again just awesome.

Definitely worth the price and recommend you pay the extra for the HD version compared to the SD version, its worth it...

Indoor performance is not so good compared to my Canon HD camcorder, but outdoor shots have no issues.

Great product, overpriced
The product itself is great... but this listing adds 0 to the list price from the manufacturer of this product GoPro HD Helmet HERO Camera for adding an 8gb card and a micro-fiber cleaning cloth to make it a kit... granted accessories are always overpriced, but this one takes the cake....

Edit: The product price is now 9, the list price, it was 9 when I wrote the review, so it's not egregiously overpriced now. Still, it would be better to find the main listing for this product and buy the memory card separately, you'd still save money.

GoPro HD
I bought this camera to take on a snowboarding trip to California and it is amazing. I stuck one of the quick release mounts to my board for a sweet vantage point and everything held up just fine in the winter weather. With the widescreen format, it even takes killer still pics too. I'm looking forward to mounting this thing on my jet ski in the summer to get some sick high def vids. You totally need to buy this. Now!

I love my new gopro
I started using my new cam as soon as I opened the box. I took a little while to read the cleas instructions and the menu options - it is all very logically thought out and everything worked just as it stated.

From a professional
This is a remarkable new tool. I have added a dimension to my work that is often astounding, particularly for such a small expenditure. My biggest concern is the delicacy of the waterproof lens cover. It scratches very easily so be wary how you store the unit or when setting it down. Sorting through the myriad mounting accessories is akin to rocket science but great fun nonetheless. I'll likely buy another one.

This is NOT the HD Helmet Hero your buying!!!
I ordered this, thinking it was the HD HELMET Hero as it states in the title. This is NOT true. The HD Helmet Hero comes with helmet straps for solid and vented helmets and also comes with a head strap for use without a helmet. The item I received was NOT the HELMET Hero, but the HD Motorsports version with the suction cup. Very disappointing... I will be returning this item for a refund.
